Just In: Nottingham Forest agree deal for another star

Emmanuel Dennis of Nottingham Forest has agreed to join the Turkish Super Lig ahead of the transfer deadline.

Fabrizio Romano, a transfer market expert, has revealed that Istanbul Başakşehir are set to recruit Emmanuel Dennis from Nottingham Forest.

The former Club Brugge and Watford midfielder was also linked with Adana Demirspor, but he has chosen to join the 2019-2020 Super lig champions.

Unless anything unexpected happens, the Super Eagles star will join Istanbul Başakşehir on loan for the rest of the season, with no option to buy.

Dennis was not included to Nottingham Forest’s Premier League roster, indicating that he is no longer needed at the City Ground for the 2023-2024 season.

The 25-year-old has yet to be named to a matchday squad for the new season, with Taiwo Awoniyi and Chris Wood ahead of him in Steve Cooper’s striker pecking order.

Dennis arrived at Nottingham Forest with a reputation for making things happen in the opposition box, having personally contributed to sixteen goals (10 goals, 6 assists) in 33 Premier League appearances for Watford in 2021-2022.

However, he fell short of his own high expectations last season, contributing five goals and three assists in twenty-five games for the two-time European champions.
