‘Ridiculous’: Alan Brazil reacts to ‘nonsense’ he’s hearing about Newcastle now
TalkSPORT presenter Alan Brazil has said that he cannot believe that there are suggestions that Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe is under pressure already.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United forward has said on talkSPORT (9:38am, September 15, 2023) that it is “just nonsense” that there is talk of Eddie Howe being under pressure at Newcastle United now.
Newcastle finished in the top four of the Premier League table last season and will play in the UEFA Champions League this campaign.
The Magpies, though, have made a disappointing start to the new Premier League campaign.

Newcastle are 14th in the Premier League table at the moment with just three points from four matches.
Howe’s side are two points above the relegation zone and seven points behind West Ham United in fourth.
The Telegraph reported this week that Newcastle chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan is backing Howe to turn things around despite the team’s disappointing results and performances so far this season.
Brazil said: “I can’t believe this.”
The talkSPORT presenter added: “This is just nonsense surely.
“How can he be under pressure already? Ridiculous.”
Newcastle United should back Eddie Howe
In our view, Newcastle United owners should back Eddie Howe despite the current situation.
Yes, Newcastle are going through a bad spell, but all clubs and teams do so.
Howe needs to be backed now.
After all, we are only in mid-September.
Just like last season, Newcastle have every chance to end up in the top four of the Premier League table this campaign.
Howe is one of the best English managers, and given his extensive experience in the Premier League, Newcastle fans should have faith in him to get the team back to the high level of last season.
