Chris Sutton delivers Nottingham Forest prediction and name one Nottingham Forest player that deserve praise

Chris Sutton delivers Nottingham Forest verdict and praises Taiwo Awoniyi.
Chris Sutton has delivered his prediction for Nottingham Forest v Burnley tomorrow and praised Taiwo Awoniyi. The Reds face the Clarets on Trentside on Monday Night Football.

The Reds lost to Burnley in the Carabao Cup before the international break. On that night, however, both teams made lots of changes and it will likely be a different clash on this occasion.

Awoniyi has started the 2023/24 campaign in some style. He’s scored in three of the four Premier League games and he’s starting to really kick on in England.

At 26-years-old there is plenty more to come from the Nigerian. He scored 11 goals last season and finished the campaign as the leading goalscorer within the Forest squad.

Awoniyi has now earned some praise from Sutton ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Burnley. The pundit has also delivered his prediction ahead of the Premier League battle.

Sutton said in his BBC Sport column: “This time, I’m expecting Steve Cooper’s side to come out on top.

“They have got a bit more nous about them and although they will miss Brennan Johnson after his move to Tottenham, Taiwo Awoniyi is absolutely flying at the moment.”

The Reds need to continue their good start to the campaign tomorrow when they face Burnley. Turning the City Ground into a fortress is a must again this season and hopefully, they can claim a win.

Awoniyi is a certain starter for Forest. He’s one of the most in-form strikers in the Premier League and has already scored three goals during the current campaign.

The Nigerian is starting to prove his worth. He’s the number one striker at the club right now and on his day he’s capable of causing absolute carnage to defenders.

Tomorrow will be a good test for Forest and Awoniyi. Burnley have lost all three games so far this season but Vincent Kompany’s team do have quality that the Reds need to be wary of.
