Milan boss Stefano Pioli considering two changes for Newcastle United clash

Milan manager Stefano Pioli is already planning ahead to the club’s Champions League opener against Newcastle United and is considering making two changes.

The Rossoneri fell to a disastarous 5-1 loss to rivals Inter and it is the first time in club history that Milan have lost five derbies in a row against the Nerazzurri. But there is little time to recover, as Milan take on Newcastle United in their Champions League group stage opener in mid-week.

Stefano Pioli keen to overturn AC Milan's recent poor form against Inter

Sky Italia state that Pioli is preparing to make a couple of changes for the Magpies’ trip to San Siro. The first change will see Fikayo Tomori step in for Simon Kjaer, who featured against Inter in the derby. The second change will see Samuel Chukwueze start in place of Christian Pulisic.

Today, Pioli spent the entire day watching Newcastle United’s season to prepare for the game. A few hours after the loss to Inter, Pioli analysed the game with the players and there was a specific focus on how Milan lost focus in the last quarter of the game.
