Alex Mowatt has hilariously mocked Sam Byram for the type of image he uploaded on Instagram following Leeds United’s 3-0 win over Millwall on Sunday.
Daniel Farke’s side, now that the summer transfer window has been slammed shut, put in one of their best displays of the season at the Den.
Sam Byram, who made a return to Leeds United this summer after leaving Norwich City, started the game and helped his side to yet another clean sheet.
That’s back-to-back clean sheets for the Whites, which is a rare sight given their struggles at the back in recent years.
For once, the mood around the camp is positive, as Leeds start to climb the table and push towards those automatic spots because the only aim is to make a return to the Premier League.
Nonetheless, after the win over Millwall, Sam Bryam wrote on Instagram ‘great way to top off the Birthday weekend’, with Alex Mowatt posting a cheeky response in the comments section of his post.
“3 points and a clean sheet 🤩great way to top off the birthday weekend 💛💙,” wrote Byram.
“Someone take these on a Nokia,” responded Mowatt.
Leeds starting to build
The Yorkshire side are nowhere near their best yet, but as the games tick by, they are starting to build and look stronger.
The attacking quality and depth Farke has to choose from will make many a Championship team jealous.
What Leeds can do going forward isn’t the issue, it’s the lack of stability and performances at the back which has hurt them before, so if they can improve that, then a top-six finish will be a certain.
