Latest Nottingham Forest news as Callum Hudson-Odoi explains what the Reds want to achieve this season

Nottingham Forest are targeting a top-10 Premier League finish this season, according to winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The former Chelsea wide man joined Forest in a cut-price deal on transfer deadline day this summer, and has one goal in three league appearances so far. He has revealed how many goals he hopes to score this term, as well as the objectives of the squad.

Despite finishing 16th last season, Forest have set ambitious targets for the current campaign. It’s one many believe they are capable of achieving, no less Steve Cooper and his players.

“We want to make sure that we’re in the top 10,” Hudson-Odoi revealed to Sky Sports. “I think that’s a big target for everybody.

“The confidence of all of us now – how we are at the training ground, how everyone’s motivated to go and win games – I think all the players are hungry to try and get into the top 10 and get as many points as possible. You never know in football, anything can happen.

“Personally, for me, (the target is) just more goals and assists. You want to be reaching the double digits for goals and the double digits for assists. Those are my targets for the year and hopefully they will happen.”
