‘Unreal’: 10-year-old Tweet by ‘brilliant’ Newcastle United star has resurfaced and it’s amazing

Imagine being 25 years old and witnessing a tweet you posted at the age of 15 suddenly resurface and circulate widely on social media. It would likely be an embarrassing experience for most individuals.

However, this is not the case for Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff, as a 10-year-old tweet of his is making the rounds once again.

‘Unreal’: 10-year-old Tweet by ‘brilliant’ Newcastle United star has resurfaced and it’s amazing

Back in March 2013, a 15-year-old Sean Longstaff served as a ball boy during a match in which Newcastle faced Anzi in the UEFA Europa League round of 16 at St James’ Park. Newcastle eventually won the game thanks to a goal scored by Papiss Cisse four minutes into added time in the second half.

At that moment, as the players celebrated what appeared to be the winning goal, they had no idea that they had just run past a future goal scorer for Newcastle United in the Champions League.

Fast forward a mere ten years, and Longstaff was recently seen celebrating at St James’ Park after scoring a goal against Paris Saint-Germain in a 4-1 Champions League victory.

Certainly, fans have been drawing attention to that old tweet, particularly in light of how close Longstaff came to leaving Newcastle under Steve Bruce. This situation serves as a testament to how much things can change when one puts in hard work and determination.
