AC Milan is reportedly planning to make a significant investment in acquiring a new striker in the upcoming summer transfer window. One of the players they are closely monitoring is Ollie Watkins, who currently plays for Aston Villa.
As Olivier Giroud is now 37 years old and unable to start in every match, and with uncertainty surrounding Luka Jovic’s future beyond the next summer, Milan’s management is in search of a long-term solution for the No.9 position. Several potential targets have been linked to the club, including Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig and Jonathan David from Lille, with new names continually surfacing.
According to Michele Fratini, an intermediary and scout, Milan is among the clubs showing a keen interest in Ollie Watkins, who is contracted with Aston Villa until June 2028. Watkins, 27 years old, has demonstrated his prowess by scoring four goals and providing four assists in eight Premier League games this season. He also netted 15 league goals last season, which could mean that he comes with a high price tag.
