The 24-year-old Brandon Thomas-Asante of West Brom was a sought-after player during the summer, with Stoke City making an attempt to sign him.

Salford City traded Thomas-Asante to West Brom last year. Thomas-Asante scored seven goals in 33 Championship games during his first season at The Hawthorns, winning praise for his general offensive presence and work ethic.

However, Stoke City, a Championship opponent, made two unsuccessful attempts to buy the striker in August as the summer transfer window came to a conclusion.

Thomas-Asante is still with West Brom, where Carlos Corberan may currently use him as the only healthy no. 9; in nine league games this season, he has scored two goals.
