Yankuba Minteh, on loan from Newcastle United, is expected to miss some time due to a “muscle injury” he sustained during Feyenoord’s 4-0 victory over Vitesse on Saturday.
After being out for several weeks, the 19-year-old was having an amazing run in the team, scoring three goals in nine Eredivisie games. However, he will miss their Champions League match against Lazio tonight.‬
He didn’t play until after the next international break in November after being forced off with an injury 15 minutes into their 4-0 victory over the weekend.
Speaking of Newcastle loanees, Friday night’s Championship match between Swansea and Watford saw Harrison Ashby taking on Jamaal Lewis.
In their previous seven games, Ashby had only played one minute of football; nevertheless, on Tuesday night, he received a rare start. After he was substituted on 79 minutes, the match was tied at zero goals, but three minutes later, Lewisâ€TM Watford scored to win 1-0.
Lewis has led the Hornets to back-to-back victories and clean sheets against Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea by starting each of the last six games.
