Luton Town fans received surprising news as Glen Rea, a loyal member of the Hatters’ squad from 2016 to 2023, recently made a move to Worthing. Many supporters, like myself, expected Glen to secure a spot with a club in either League 1 or League 2 following his departure from Kenilworth Road.
However, reports indicate that Glen has joined Worthing on a non-contract basis, hinting that this may be a temporary arrangement while he explores other opportunities.
During his time with Luton Town, Glen contributed significantly, making 174 league appearances and finding the back of the net seven times. Unfortunately, his final years at the club were marred by a serious injury, which led to several loan spells at other clubs, including Woking, Wigan, and Cheltenham.
The news of Glen’s move prompted a swift and heartfelt response from the Hatters’ fanbase on social media. The outpouring of support and appreciation for Glen was evident, underscoring the high regard in which he was held by the Luton Town faithful.
Absolute quality signing. Good luck Worthing, you have one hell of a player there. Glen played a massive part in the rise of Luton Town, and I’m sure he will do the same for you. Good luck Glenda 👏👏👏👏
