Wolves boss Gary O’Neil makes ‘strong’ Pedro Neto declaration amid Liverpool transfer links

Arsenal target Pedro Neto set to leave Wolves next year

Although Liverpool reportedly scouted Neto during the recent international break, O’Neil assured that the Portuguese player is content at Wolves. Aston Villa and Arsenal are also rumored to be tracking the 23-year-old. The speculation regarding Neto’s future may intensify if his excellent performances continue. Wolves recently extended their unbeaten Premier League run to four matches with a comeback win over AFC Bournemouth.

Concurrently, the discussion about potential replacements for Liverpool’s star, Mohamed Salah, has been sparked by interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad, who offered up to £150 million for Salah on the eve of the summer transfer deadline. However, Liverpool remained steadfast in their stance that Salah was not for sale. Despite rumors suggesting Neto as a long-term replacement for Salah, O’Neil expressed no concerns and emphasized Neto’s happiness at Wolves. O’Neil, who previously worked on Liverpool’s coaching staff, stated that Neto is in excellent spirits at the club, enjoying his football, and has bounced back from a tough couple of years marked by injuries and form struggles. O’Neil affirmed the club’s commitment to helping Neto achieve significant accomplishments during his tenure at Wolves.
