Crystal Palace confirm late blow as two Crystal palace star now ruled out of Tottenham clash

Crystal Palace is expected to be without Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze for their upcoming Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur. The creative duo, who have yet to play together this season, are back on the training field but have not participated in first-team training during the early part of the week.

Michael Olise faced a setback in September during his recovery from hamstring surgery, which was required after suffering a grade three tear while on international duty with France’s U21 side at the end of the previous season. The former Reading attacker, known for his six assists under former England manager Roy Hodgson in the final 10 games of the previous season, has been sidelined for the entire current campaign.

Eberechi Eze, a native of Greenwich, is also making progress in his return from a hamstring injury he sustained after a 1-0 win at Manchester United. However, the match against Premier League leaders Tottenham has come too soon for his return.

Crystal Palace is aiming to bounce back from a heavy 4-0 defeat to Newcastle United in their previous match. Tottenham, currently two points clear at the top of the Premier League, is led by manager Ange Postecoglou, who has set a new Premier League record for the most points earned by a manager in their first nine games in charge.

Tottenham recently defeated Fulham 2-0 and had the luxury of resting key players like Son Heung-min and James Maddison in the closing stages of the match. Matheus Franca, who made his Premier League debut, scored in the Premier League International Cup win over Monaco on Tuesday night.

Palace chairman Steve Parish and former manager Roy Hodgson attended the match at Gander Green Lane. Nathan Ferguson completed his first full 90 minutes of the season, with several other players featuring for Darren Powell’s side in the match.
