JUST IN: Aston Villa’s five Premier League Goals Scoring Setout For £75million-plus As Brilliant Star

Ollie Watkins would require a substantial payment to leave Aston Villa.

According to transfer expert Neil Moxley, the Villains might feasibly ask for more than £75 million for the Englishman who is playing well.

Watkins, 27, has had a strong start to this season and has been in terrific shape. The Villains number eleven is clearly on track to enjoy what could be his best-ever season after five Premier League goals in his first nine games.

Even if the England international just decided to extend his contract through 2028, there is still some truth to the rumour that a prominent Premier League team may want to sign him soon.

Watkins had previously been frequently linked to a move to Arsenal, but Moxley thinks it would take something exceptional for the Gunners—or any other club—to entice Watkins to leave Villa Park.

He told GiveMeSport, “He is an incredibly good and useful person to have spearheading your attack.”

“I was looking at his record and he currently has over 50 goals in 130 appearances for Villa.”

“His strike rate is 0.4, which translates to two hits every five games and four hits per ten. The good news is that he is promising you a season in the Premier League with between 15 and 18 goals.

How much are those strikers worth now, especially given Watkins’ age? Ollie Watkins is 27 years old, so if someone were to approach Villa Park right now and try to get him to sign for a fee, I believe you’re going to be talking about £75 million or more, if not a little bit more, as Villa would want to be able to find a successor.

Watkins, who joined Aston Villa from Brentford in 2020, has appeared in 130 appearances across all competitions with 51 goals and 18 assists.
