Arsenal loanee returns from injury ahead of Liverpool clash
Nuno Tavares has returned to training with Nottingham Forest following his recent injury absence, with Forest facing Liverpool this weekend.
Nottingham Forest travel away to Liverpool on Sunday, and their training footage ahead of the game revealed that Arsenal loanee Nuno Tavares is back involved after injury.
Tavares could be seen taking part in various stages of the session, including scoring a nice volley at the end of the Twitter clip:
Arsenal loanee Tavares had made three appearances for Nottingham Forest before picking up an injury against Manchester City, and he’s subsequently missed all of their games in October.
Manager Steve Cooper confirmed in early October that we wouldn’t see the left-back until after the international break, and the defender was also still not fit to return when Forest faced Luton Town at the weekend.

But the 23-year-old is now in contention for a comeback as his loan side travel to Anfield.
As a reminder, though Tavares’ move to Forest is an initial loan deal, there’s strong potential for the transfer to turn permanent.
Reports confirmed that Forest are paying Arsenal a £1m loan fee, with a £12m option to buy in the deal and an additional £3m in add-ons.
Whilst that buy option isn’t mandatory, it could become mandatory if certain conditions are met during the loan.
That’s unlikely to happen if Tavares is stuck working on injuries all season, so it’s encouraging to see him back out there already.
