A 42-year-old man’s lifeless body was discovered in the deserted parking area beneath the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona after Napoli’s Serie A match against Milan. La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that the man’s remains were found at night beneath the guest stands of the stadium.
According to a friend of the deceased, the two had covertly entered the stadium through a tunnel in an attempt to access the stands without possessing tickets for the match. The victim, hailing from Bacoli in the province of Naples, took the lead in their attempt and attempted to scale a further section of the stadium but tragically fell from a height of approximately 20 meters to the ground. The fallen beam obstructed his friend’s progress, leading him to abandon his efforts to gain entry.
On the football field, Napoli and Milan played to a 2-2 draw, with goals scored by Olivier Giroud, Matteo Politano, and Giacomo Raspadori.
