CBS PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Eagles announced the trade of defensive tackle Kentavius Street to the Atlanta Falcons on Monday.
The Falcons received Street and a 2025 seventh-round pick in exchange for a 2024 sixth-round pick. Grady Jarrett, the Falcons’ defensive tackle, was just lost for the season due to an ACL injury.
Street agreed to terms with the Eagles prior to the 2023 season. After spending the first three years of his career with the San Francisco 49ers, the seasoned defensive tackle joined the New Orleans Saints in 2022.
Street appeared in every game for the 7-1 Eagles this season, recording eight tackles. He took 17.23% of the team’s defensive snaps and 5.97% of special teams snaps.
Street played 30.6% of the team’s defensive snaps in Philadelphia’s 38-31 win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday, his second-highest total of the season as rookie defensive lineman Jalen Carter suffered a back injury. Carter played 23.6% of the defensive snaps in Week 8, a season low.
When is the NFL trade deadline?
The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday at 4 p.m.
Howie Roseman, the Eagles’ general manager, is most certainly working the phones in preparation for Tuesday’s deadline.
The Eagles acquired two-time All-Pro safety Kevin Byard from the Tennessee Titans last week in exchange for two day three choices.
Roseman basically received the 2024 sixth-round pick he sent out in the Titans trade back with the Street trade.
In his Eagles debut, Byard recorded seven total tackles.
