Wolves’ winger Pedro Neto is set for an extended period on the sidelines due to an injury sustained during the match against Newcastle United. Journalist Tom Collomosse shared an update on social media, indicating that Neto’s initial estimate of a ‘couple of weeks’ for recovery might be overly optimistic. Neto has been in exceptional form at the beginning of the new season, contributing seven assists and scoring a goal for Wanderers, playing a pivotal role in their performance.
However, his promising run came to a halt during the game against Newcastle when he abruptly stopped while advancing towards the goal, clutching his hamstring. Medical personnel attended to Neto for an extended period, and he had to leave the field on a stretcher, causing concern among Wolves’ fans.
On a more positive note, Neto tried to alleviate worries about his absence by posting on social media that he expected to be out for only ‘a couple of weeks.’ Nonetheless, recent reports suggest that this recovery timeline may be overly optimistic.
Pedro Neto could be out for a few weeks for Wolves, as star appears to edit his initial injury update
Neto appears like he’ll be out for a few games for Wolves.
However, journalist Tom Collomosse feels that his return in a few weeks may not be the case. On X, formerly Twitter, he wrote: “Pedro Neto: Wolves are hoping that it isn’t as bad as they thought. However, ‘a couple of weeks’ appears to be optimistic. “Are you coming back for Christmas?”
Furthermore, Neto appears to have altered his original social media update on Instagram.
Initially, he stated that he would be absent for “a couple of weeks.”
This has now been changed to ‘a few weeks’ by him or someone controlling his account. Perhaps Neto acted too quickly on Sunday in order to appease Wolves fans.
