Breaking News:Hopefully Tony Mowbray Going For Another Super Star devastating Undo deal

Tony Mowbray thinks Sunderland will be able to hold onto Jack Clarke come January.

In an interview with Chronicle Live, the Sunderland manager advised the forward to continue his stellar play.

Jack Clarke has stepped up his game this season after having an incredible 2022–23 campaign in which he already matched his career high of nine goals.

Burnley had previously made several bids for the winger during the summer, but his current play has drawn attention from other teams as well, including Brighton, Crystal Palace, and Brentford.

Though it’s believed that the Black Cats are more eager to lock Clarke down to a new contract, there have been rumors going around that interested parties could boost their offers to meet Sunderland’s price.

The 22-year-old’s present contract expires in 2026, but Sunderland hopes to extend it past this season by making new terms available to him.

The attacker has received high praise from Tony Mowbray, who also instructed the team to do “everything they can” to keep him at Sunderland.

“I think Jack will keep scoring if we can keep playing the way we are right now—really positive, on the front foot, having a lot of attacking moments in games,” Mowbray said.

You might also claim that he has a great aerobic capacity, which allows him to run continuously, and that he is really deadly when we have to defend.

“Before I came here, he was playing wing back because he has one of the best running speeds of any football player—the ability to run all day. He won’t go away, in my opinion; he will continue to score goals and cause teams grief.

He is using a lot more variation in his play these days, cutting the ball back with his left foot and going down the outside as well as the inside. He must remain upbeat, I hope he’s having fun playing football, and ideally the team will do everything in its power to keep him in the lineup and have a great season.

Is it possible for Sunderland to hold onto Clarke?

Jack Clarke might not return for the summer even if he does ink a new contract before January.

In fact, if we don’t get promoted this season, I would be shocked if he stayed at Sunderland.

Clarke is just too good for the Championship, and although though it would be sad, I believe the majority of fans would eventually come to terms with his wish to play in the top division.

But we really must hold onto him until January because we would not be able to replace his record for goals halfway through the season.
