Tony Brown became enraged following an incident on Monday, October 30, during the first half of West Brom’s match against Coventry City.
The analyst added that it was “criminal” for the Albion players to let Light Blues midfielder Jamie Allen free on the edge of the box when speaking on BBC Radio West Midlands on Monday (via BBC Sport, 8:46 p.m.).
Before the Baggies went on to win 2-0, he said that Carlos Corberan would have wanted to have the matter “spoken about in the dressing room.”
Brown stated, “Jamie Allen is on the edge of the box and nobody is with him.” It’s unlawful. No one is accepting accountability.
That’s something we’ll need to discuss in the changing room. The halftime whistle will be desired by Carlos Corberan so he may settle some issues.
The West Brom team didn’t have the best of times as they gave Allen the freedom to roam freely around the perimeter of the area unhindered by any men.
However, they managed to escape with it at the half, and it seems that after calming down in the second half, they worked things out over the intermission.
If Corberan feels that the squad is doing something incorrectly, he won’t hesitate to voice his disapproval, and he will have likely noticed that particular occurrence.
But following the break, the Baggies turned in a determined display to secure three more crucial points, moving them back up to fifth in the Championship standings.
After their defensive play has been a key factor in their early success this season, Alex Palmer also added another clean sheet to his collection, his seventh of the year.
