Birmingham Live has the most recent Aston Villa transfer news as they are once again connected to a move for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.
Once the January transfer window opens, Aston Villa is once again expected to pursue Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos. During Unai Emery’s first summer window in charge of the Lions, Villa reportedly showed interest in Ceballos. At that time, they brought in Moussa Diaby, Pau Torres, Youri Tielemans, Clement Lenglet, and Nicolo Zaniolo—the latter two to cover for injured Emi Buendia and Tyrone Mings Villa is trying to advance far in the Europa Conference League while juggling Premier League games.
They may add to their roster once again during the winter transfer window, and there are rumors coming out of Spain that Ceballos is still on Emery’s want list. After losing out on Los Blancos teammate Marco Asensio, who joined PSG, Emery was expected to make a play for him.
Ceballos was previously on loan at Arsenal. If he was available for a move in January, Fichajes reports that Villa would be keen to bring him back to England for a fee of 30 million euros, or £26 million. After paying £15 million to join Real Betis, Ceballos, a Spaniard, spent two consecutive loan stints at the Emirates before joining Madrid Stadium:

Ceballos has appeared for Real Madrid in four games across all competitions so far this season. He had to deal with a hamstring injury early on, but he made a comeback at the end of September, and he has started from the bench in their last four games, including their most recent Champions League victory against Napoli Naturally, Real is spoiled with choices in the midfield.
In addition to Aurelien Tchouameni, Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, and the great duo of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, Carlo Ancelotti can also depend upon Jude Bellingham, who came in the summer and has been a revelation.
Villa has no shortage of choices in the midfield; after failing to sign Asensio over the summer, they signed free agent Tielemans, who joined the ranks of current possibilities that included Leander Dendoncker, Boubacar Kamara, Douglas Luiz, John McGinn, and Jacob Ramsey. Morgan Sanson, who is slated to return to Villa next summer, is currently on loan at Nice.
