This season, the Minnesota Vikings have faced numerous challenges. The team’s best players, Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson, suffered serious injuries, and they started the season slowly at 1-4. While Jefferson is expected to return to action, Cousins will miss the remainder of the 2023 campaign. The standout receiver revealed the quarterback he hopes to start for him in 2019.

In an effort to achieve better results, the receiver wants Cousins to remain with the Vikings and try to run it back the next season. Over the years, their strong relationship has cemented them as one of the league’s best quarterback-receiver tandems.
Jefferson was on track to reclaim the NFL receiving crown prior to getting hurt. It is highly doubtful, though, given that Miami Dolphins standout Tyreek Hill has had a tremendous season thus far. Regarding Cousins, before to suffering a torn Achilles tendon during last week’s game against the Green Bay Packers, he was among the top five quarterbacks in passing yards. There are already rumors circulating about the quarterback’s potential departure from Minnesota.
Three touchdowns and 571 receiving yards were all accomplished by Jefferson in five games before to his injury during the Kansas City Chiefs game. He has gained 5,396 receiving yards and 28 touchdowns since entering the league in 2020, and prior to this season, he had gained more than 1,000 yards in each of his previous seasons.
Regarding Cousins, he was having a great season, totaling 2,331 passing yards and 18 touchdowns prior to suffering an injury versus Green Bay. Entering his eleventh season in the NFL, he had a stellar career with 39,471 passing yards and 270 touchdowns.
