Just In: New Magpie Lachie Schultz details key reason for shock trade request

Collingwood’s high-profile recruit, Lachie Schultz, has provided insights into his unexpected trade request away from Fremantle in favor of the Magpies. Schultz, who was still under contract with Fremantle for another season, made the surprising move to leave the Dockers in October, citing his strong connection to Victoria as the primary reason. The 25-year-old Victorian native began his professional career with the Dockers after playing for VFL team Williamstown. He expressed his excitement at the prospect of returning home to be with friends and family, including his partner Maddie, who is also from Victoria.
