Rams make major quarterback move

The Rams have added a new quarterack

The Los Angeles Rams found themselves in an interesting situation at the quarterback position this week when the team tried to add John Wolford from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad, but Wolford elected to remain with the Buccaneers and was eventually added to the team’s active roster. But it looks like the team has found a solution.

Earlier this week, the Los Angeles Rams announced that they were adding rookie quarterback Dresser Winn who spent time with the Rams during training camp. And according to a report from league insider Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Winn will be on the team’s active roster for this week’s game against the Green Bay Packers.

“The #Rams have elevated QB Dresser Winn from the practice squad for Sunday’s game against the #Packers,” Rapoport said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

While the Rams have no questions at the top of the depth chart with star quarterback Matthew Stafford as the team’s clear-cut, it’s clear that Winn has been added to the roster to add a little bit of depth behind him. It’s unlikely he’ll play unless Stafford suffers an injury, but he’s there for insurance.
