Sean McVay now makes shocking admission involving Rams quatreback Brett Rypien ahead of next game

The Los Angeles Rams’ head coach, Sean McVay, is optimistic that Matthew Stafford will return soon, and he doesn’t believe he’ll need to start the backup quarterback, Brett Rypien, in the next game. McVay expressed his optimism regarding Stafford’s chances of playing against the Seattle Seahawks after the Rams’ bye week.

When asked if Rypien would start if Stafford couldn’t play, McVay stated, “We’re going to look at a lot of different things over this break… but I’m optimistic that I don’t even think that’s something that we have to worry about.” This indicates that the team is confident in Stafford’s recovery and expects him to be available for the upcoming game.

With a 3-6 record, the Rams need a significant improvement in the second half of the season to consider playoff contention or weigh what’s best for their future. Starting Rypien at quarterback doesn’t appear to be an ideal option for their present situation. McVay emphasized that the decision to play a quarterback other than Stafford would not be taken lightly if Stafford couldn’t return from his hand injury for the Seahawks game.

The Rams seem to be exploring the possibility of adding another quarterback or giving Dresser Winn a chance if Stafford is unable to start. This decision will likely depend on Stafford’s recovery and availability for the next game.
