Newcastle owner sends 9 words message to Newcastle United players & supporters after defeat to Bournemouth

Following Saturday’s 2-0 loss at AFC Bournemouth, Newcastle United co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi offered a unifying message.
Mehrdad Ghodoussi was unable to attend Newcastle United’s defeat at the Vitality Stadium, but he resorted to social media to express his disappointment.

The Magpies suffered their first Premier League defeat in eight games thanks to Dominic Solanke’s second-half brace.Ghodoussi responded by tweeting, “We win together, we lose together, we stand together @NUFC #NUFC #HWTL.” Following the defeat at the Vitality Stadium, Newcastle vice-captain Kieran Trippier challenged a traveling supporter who was critical of the team.

While Ghodoussi was not present, his partner and fellow Newcastle co-owner Amanda Staveley, as well as chief executive Darren Eales and sporting director Dan Ashworth, were.
Newcastle went into the game missing 11 players before suffering another blow during the game as Miguel Almiron left with a hamstring injury just beyond the half-hour mark. Callum Wilson was also ruled out due to a hamstring injury suffered during the week against Borussia Dortmund.

The Magpies enter the international break on the heels of two straight 2-0 losses, including a Champions League defeat at Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday evening. Despite the injury issues, Newcastle’s season has been a positive one thus far.

Howe’s side has reached the Carabao Cup quarter-finals and is still in with a chance of getting out of their Champions League group.

However, Newcastle’s defeat at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday has dropped them to seventh in the table, and they might tumble to eighth by the end of the weekend, with Brighton & Hove Albion visiting Sheffield United on Sunday.
