Derby County youngster Found Himself In QPR Worth Over £43million

“The club is aware of the player’s strategy and goals.”

A rumored point of contention is the player’s wish to keep his release clause at €50 million (£43 million).
The agency acknowledged there isn’t a proposition on the table right now, the publication reports.

Following their breakup with Gareth Ainsworth, the R’s are going through a transitional phase. They have recently brought in Spanish manager Marti Cifuentes from Swedish team Hammarby to take over as manager.

It will be interesting to observe the new boss’s level of academy involvement. Under new management, young players frequently get their chance, so some QPR hopefuls will undoubtedly be hoping to catch his notice.

Another fresh face on the bench was Irish defender Kelly-Caprani, who is currently reportedly on trial with QPR according to West London Sport.

St. Mochta's FC on X: "Congratulations to our former players Cian Kelly Caprani (Derby County) and David Okagbue (Stoke City) on their inclusion in Tom Mohan's Ireland u19 training camp this week.

After being released by Derby County at the end of the previous campaign, Kelly-Caprani has not been signed by a team. He was a regular for the U18s and U21s, playing a variety of positions but primarily on the left as a full-back or wing-back. He never made an appearance for the Rams’ first team.

It appears that the R’s are currently using this chance to check out a few other up-and-coming talents as well. Sam Oluwatobi, a former West Brom player, was included in the starting lineup on Monday against Cardiff City, and reporter Ian McCulloch confirmed that he is a trialist.

QPR frequently looks to add fresh players to their academy, and swiping for players released by other teams is an excellent approach to achieve this goal. This does not have to be limited to the months of the transfer window; it can be done at any point during the season.
