Latest Update: Los Angeles Rams to Relocate Practice Facility to Woodland Hills
In a groundbreaking move, the Los Angeles Rams have announced the relocation of their practice facility to Woodland Hills, CA, ahead of the 2024 NFL Season. The new facility, situated at the intersection of West Oxnard Street and Canoga Avenue, is part of the extensive 100-acre property acquired by Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke last year.
The revelation occurred during a festive event at the adjacent Topanga Village, a vibrant shopping and dining destination within the same acreage. Los Angeles Rams Chief Operating Officer Kevin Demoff, alongside Council member Bob Blumenfield, disclosed the decision, revealing that construction will commence later this week.
Expressing enthusiasm, Demoff stated, “This marks a monumental day for the Los Angeles Rams as we officially make Woodland Hills and the City of Los Angeles our home. We extend our gratitude to Councilman Blumenfield and the welcoming community. Stan Kroenke’s unparalleled commitment to this region drives our excitement to expand and deepen our impact across the city.”
The announcement concluded the Rams Community Blitz Day of Service in Woodland Hills, featuring charitable activities at the West Valley Food Pantry, Holiday For Heroes military appreciation events at local schools, and Rams players engaging in community initiatives. Council member Blumenfield expressed his excitement about the Rams investing in the community, looking forward to collaborative efforts for the development of Warner Center.
Over the next months, the Rams will establish a facility on the acquired land, comprising modular trailers for offices, meeting rooms, a weight room, training room, locker room, media room, and meal room. Additionally, two football fields will be set up for team training and practice.
This initial step aligns with Kroenke’s long-term vision for the property under the Warner Center 2035 plan. Following the establishment of the practice facility, the organization aims to explore a comprehensive development, including the permanent team headquarters, residential, commercial, and retail spaces, alongside green areas and community amenities.
Topanga Village, known for its diverse retail and dining options, stands as a focal point in the West Valley, offering a range of community events and future enhancements to create a welcoming environment.
Kroenke’s extensive experience in real estate and community development, showcased through ventures like SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park in Inglewood, underscores the transformative potential of this latest Rams initiative.
