Breaking News: Raiders confirmed the acquiring of another star player

The Las Vegas Raiders, aiming to enhance their defense and build on a 2-0 record post the departure of former head coach Josh McDaniels, have secured Jack Jones off waivers from the New England Patriots. The second-year cornerback, waived by the Patriots on Monday, reunites with Raiders interim head coach Antonio Pierce, his former coach in high school and college.

Expressing gratitude to the Patriots for drafting Jones, his agent, J. Tooson, conveyed that Jones, recognized as an immense talent, is eager to make an immediate impact on his new team, possibly as early as Sunday’s game. Selected by the Patriots in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Jones had an impressive rookie season with six pass defenses and two interceptions, including a touchdown return, in 13 games.

However, setbacks in the form of injuries and off-field issues marred Jones’s 2023 season. After a hamstring injury kept him out of the Patriots’ initial six games, he reportedly violated curfew before Week 9 and played minimally in Week 10 before being waived. Now, in Las Vegas, the former All-Pac 12 selection aims to rejuvenate his career with the Raiders, currently second in the AFC West with a 5-5 record. With the team’s recent successes, including a 16-12 victory over the New York Jets, Jones anticipates making his Raiders debut against the 6-3 Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
