Newcastle United star now gives verdict on Real madrid talent

In December of last year, Real Madrid paid a hefty sum of money to acquire Brazilian sensation Endrick, defeating other elite European clubs in the process.

Real Madrid had no qualms about spending heavily on the striker, even though he was only 16 at the time and had only appeared in a small number of first-team games for Palmeiras. However, they would have to wait until 2024 to include him in the squad.

And Endrick is beginning to demonstrate why Los Blancos made a large investment in him. The 17-year-old forward had a rough start to the season with Palmeiras, but he has been playing well lately.

As a result, Endrick received his first-ever call-up to the Brazil national team for the country’s impending FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying matches against Argentina and Colombia.

Endrick earns praise from Bruno Guimaraes

Before Brazil’s match against Colombia, midfielder Bruno Guimaraes gave Endrick a lot of praise at a press conference.

The Newcastle United star, praising the soon-to-be Real Madrid star, stated (via Mundo Deportivo):

“I believe that Endrick is a tremendous talent that we are witnessing emerge. He is a superb athlete. It’s understandable that he is a little reserved. We are attempting to encourage him to communicate with us more as he knows a few players.

Speaking on Endrick’s adjustment to the national team structure, Guimaraes continued, stating that the call-up will enable him to pick up knowledge and share it with the more experienced players.

“Everyone will welcome him and he will feel at home here.”

Endrick’s season so far…

Endrick had a sluggish start to the Palmeiras season and occasionally struggled to find playing time for the Brazilian team.

But lately, he’s been playing better; going into the international break, the teenage striker has 12 goals and an assist from 49 games across all competitions.

When Endrick comes at Castilla next year, Real Madrid will not assign the 17-year-old to Castilla since they have tremendous faith in his confidence. Instead, the young player will be immediately drafted into the first team plans, unlike some of the previous young talents.
