Jaden McDaniels now reacts to Klay Thompson fight as Timberwolves star makes clear admission in Warriors win

Star player for the Timberwolves Jaden McDaniels claims that the Warriors shooting guard, Klay Thompson, was upset with him during their on-court altercation, which resulted in their removal from Tuesday’s game in San Francisco.

A violent altercation between McDaniels and Thompson broke out at Chase Center, leading to Minnesota’s 104-101 victory over Golden State.

The NBA has suspended Warriors power forward Draymond Green for five games after he was caught placing 7’1″ star Rudy Gobert in a headlock.

Gobert, McDaniels, and Thompson have all been fined $25,000 for their involvement in the brawl.

However, in remarks made during Tuesday’s heated exchange, McDaniels acknowledged that, from his perspective, his fallout with Thompson was initially not significant. “There was some back-and-forth chitchat, but I wasn’t taking it seriously,” he remarked. “I was chuckling.” And after that, I suppose he gave it more significance.

We dashed onto the court after he missed a shot. I was smiling and making jokes, so I don’t think it was that serious when we responded to each other. There are others who view things differently.

‘No, I don’t know bruh at all,’ McDaniels responded when asked if he had any past interactions with the Golden State forward.

All I know is that he’s Klay Thompson.

The argument between Thompson and McDaniels began less than two minutes into Tuesday night’s game when they got tangled up around half court and began to physically touch each other.

Then, from a few feet away, Green flew in and locked Gobert in a headlock until teammates stepped in. In San Francisco, the four players who started the brawl were removed from the game.

The NBA announced on Wednesday that Green will miss five games as a result of his participation in it.

The NBA released a statement saying, “Joe Dumars, NBA Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations, announced today that Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has been suspended five games without pay for escalating an on-court altercation and forcibly grabbing Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert around the neck in an unsportsmanlike and dangerous manner.”

“Green’s history of unsportsmanlike behavior is a contributing factor in the suspension’s duration.”

McDaniels went on, “I was a little taken aback.” I had no idea Draymond would go to such lengths. I found that to be a little shocking.

But aside from that, it was only a brief altercation.
