Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has given a positive assessment of his injury recovery and welcomed new backup Carson Wentz. Despite light rain during Wednesday’s practice, Stafford, who wore a soft brace on his right hand, showcased readiness for Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. Wentz, in his first full workout since joining the Rams, emphasized the challenge of quickly learning the playbook. Stafford is set to start against the Seahawks, with his thumb injury not expected to limit the playbook. Stafford, who suffered a right thumb sprain earlier, expressed relief that the injury wasn’t as severe as initially thought.
Wentz, happy to be back in the NFL, is eager to contribute and learn from Stafford, with the two quarterbacks reportedly blending well according to coach Sean McVay.
