Latest: Lions’ Dan Campbell Addresses Potential Interest in Texas A&M Job

Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell addressed rumors about the coaching opening at his alma mater, Texas A&M, in his first public comment on the matter. On Friday, Campbell responded to questions regarding his potential candidacy for the coaching position at Texas A&M. While he avoided confirming whether the Aggies had approached him, he unequivocally stated that he is not a candidate for the position.

When asked about the possibility of Texas A&M reaching out to him, Campbell responded, “Maybe.” He expressed his connection to the university, describing it as his alma mater, and conveyed a strong willingness to support and assist the school in any way possible. However, he clarified that coaching for Texas A&M is not something he is pursuing at this time.

In his press conference, Campbell made it evident that he values his alma mater but is not actively seeking the coaching position at Texas A&M.

However, given how well Detroit (7-2) is performing under his supervision, it is understandable that Campbell would be uninterested.
