The German was expected to leave Newcastle in the summer, but instead signed a new one-year contract and was nominated to Eddie Howe’s squad for both the Premier League and the Champions League. hinted to an unexpected career transition in a social media post while playing sparingly for Newcastle United.
The former Liverpool goalie is currently Newcastle’s third-choice keeper, having made only one competitive appearance for the club in their Carabao Cup final loss to Manchester United.
But who knows what will happen after the year is up? Karius hinted at relocating to Italy, where he lives with his partner Diletta and their newborn daughter.
In September, he told Corriere della Sera, “It (moving to Italy) is a possible solution that I am considering.” It is possible that it will occur in the future. I used to watch Inter, Milan, and Juventus games on TV when I was a kid. But I don’t want to make a decision based solely on Aria and Diletta. I’m still looking for a solid job.
“Of course, most of the time we (Karius and his family) are far. We communicate on the phone a lot and use FaceTime to conduct video calls. Diletta pays me a visit as soon as she is able, although it is not easy. Our objective is to spend the rest of our lives together.”
However, the stopper has recently hinted at a full career change. Karius has been in Dubai with his family for part of the international break, and he tweeted a snapshot of himself at a recording studio on social media yesterday.
The photograph, which he shared on his Instagram story, shows him sitting in front of the recording booth and mixing desk.
So a huge career move for the Newcastle United player could be on the horizon. And I’m sure every United fan is eager to hear his song.
