Raptors confirmed major boost as Raptors injured star now fit for Celtics game

**Raptors Provide Injury Updates Ahead of Celtics Matchup**

Gary Trent Jr. seems poised to make a comeback for the Toronto Raptors as he participated in a full practice on Thursday. The 24-year-old forward, recovering from right foot plantar fasciitis, is listed as probable for Friday night’s game against the Boston Celtics in the team’s inaugural in-season tournament match. Trent had missed the past three games due to the foot ailment.

However, the news isn’t as optimistic for OG Anunoby. The Raptors forward underwent stitches on his right index finger following an accident during household chores. Anunoby, who was observed practicing with his left hand only during Thursday’s session, is doubtful to take the court.

Despite the setback, Anunoby’s focus on enhancing his left-hand skills might be a silver lining. Engaging exclusively with his right hand for shooting and dribbling, Toronto hopes this effort contributes positively to his overall development. Raptors coach Darko Rajaković referenced a study, noting, “Right-handed people, when they work on their left hand, improving their left hand, … the right hand is improving at the same time.”

In other updates, Dennis Schröder is not on the injury report after being questionable for Toronto’s previous game on Wednesday. He participated in Thursday’s practice and is expected to be available. On the contrary, Christian Koloko remains sidelined due to respiratory issues, with no specified timeline for his return.
