Your Los Angeles Chargers, who may be missing some uncommon suspects on offense in addition to the typical suspects (wide receiver Mike Williams, running back Joshua Palmer, and right tackle Andrew Trainer), may be in for some unexpected injury luck on the opposite side of the field this Sunday. Los Angeles is 4-5 and aiming to rebound from a 41-38 setback to the NFC North’s class, the 7-2 Detroit Lions, last weekend. The 3-6 Green Bay Packers, a lesser divisional opponent, will face the Bolts this weekend. According to Packers.com, Green Bay might be without up to four important defenders as the team makes a last-ditch effort to keep its fading postseason aspirations alive.
Packers linebackers Rashan Gary and Quay Walker, as well as cornerback Jaire Alexander, are all questionable to play. Gary had a shoulder injury during a team workout. “Unfortunately, there was a little mishap at practice, and we’ll see where he’s at on Sunday,” said Packers head coach Matt LaFleur of Gary. “I wouldn’t call it significant.” Obviously, with him being iffy, we’ll see (but) it’s not anything we’re concerned about in the long run.” Safety Rudy Ford, who has a biceps issue, is listed as unlikely to participate, which is a more discouraging prognosis. Meanwhile, Alexander is dealing with a shoulder injury, and Walker is dealing with a groin problem.
