‘Disrespectful!’ Bills’ Dawkins Reacts to Jets, Fight

The game on Sunday wasn’t very enjoyable, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t a few moments of pandemonium, especially after the whistle. In Week 11, the Buffalo Bills defeated the New York Jets 32-6. It was a strong performance on both sides of the ball, with quarterback Josh Allen returning to form and the defense exploiting the league’s weakest offense. Buffalo could not have asked for more from new offensive coordinator Joe Brady, and head coach Sean McDermott may breathe a sigh of relief that things are getting back on track.

An in-division game is always a little more intense than a typical Sunday, so it wasn’t shocking to see tempers flare. The positive vibes did not extend to the Jets’ bench.

Late on Sunday, there was a confrontation between New York defensive end Michael Clemons and Buffalo left tackle Dion Dawkins. Dawkins exaggerated a fall after Clemons pushed him to the ground, sparking some additional tension. Dawkins, who had already drawn attention with excessive celebrations, became a focal point of post-game conflicts. As both teams headed to their locker rooms, a larger brawl erupted, primarily involving Dawkins and Clemons. Despite the scuffle, the Bills remained unfazed, having secured their sixth win of the season, while the Jets’ season appears to be nearing its end. Dawkins, reflecting on the game and the altercation, expressed his displeasure with the Jets, citing disrespectful behavior from some of their players. Dawkins’ comments may add an extra layer of anticipation to future matchups, although the Bills currently hold the advantage with something still at stake for them.

For the first time since blowing out the Miami Dolphins in Week 4, the vibes in Buffalo appear to be positive. Dawkins wasn’t afraid to say so, referencing the popular cartoon “SpongeBob SquarePants.”
