Toronto Raptors, Miami Heat, and Philadelphia 76ers are now in race to trade for Bulls’ Star

Lakers, Heat, and 76ers are also expected to be on a chase for the Bulls star’s play.

Many other clubs were said to be in line to hand in their offer merely to obtain Zach LaVine as the Chicago Bulls continue to be pounded by a flurry of trade speculations. However, one intriguing squad has developed as a result of this and may seek the services of the high-scoring star.

Toronto is expected to have a “level of interest” in a LaVine trade

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Toronto Raptors are being considered as a team that would have a “level of interest” in LaVine’s trade availability after recently appearing on Bally Sports’ “The Rally.”

“I’m told the Raptors are also expected to be interested in LaVine.” Masai Ujiri is always aggressive in his approach, and the Raptors are a club to keep an eye on, according to Charania.

As a result, Charania also stated that the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, and Philadelphia 76ers are all anticipated to compete for the All-Star.

LaVine as a trade piece for Chicago

Zach Lavine is considered the most valuable asset among the current core players of the Bulls, surpassing the likes of Nikola Vucevic and DeMar DeRozan. Vucevic is set to stay with the team until 2025-26, while DeRozan’s contract is expiring soon, which diminishes his perceived value among NBA circles.

Currently averaging 22.6 points in 13 games for Chicago, Lavine is contracted until 2026-27, indicating a longer commitment to the team.

Teams like the Lakers, Heat, and Sixers, known for their competitiveness and strong market presence, have shown significant interest in acquiring a star player like Lavine.

The prospect of Toronto joining the pursuit for Lavine is intriguing as they continue to fortify their core with Pascal Siakam, Scottie Barnes, and OG Anunoby, especially under the guidance of new coach Darko Rajakovic.

Apart from Dennis Schröder, Toronto lacks another impactful scorer, making a move for Lavine sensible from a contention perspective.

The decision regarding Lavine’s future with the Bulls remains uncertain. There’s no rush for the team to make a move, given the ample time left in the current season.

Ultimately, the Bulls have the luxury of time to determine whether they will retain Lavine or explore other options as the season progresses.
