MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Timberwolves’ Jaden McDaniels will be out for two to three weeks after spraining his right ankle in Monday’s win over the New York Knicks, according to the organization.
McDaniels got an MRI on Tuesday at the Mayo Clinic. The injury occurs as the Timberwolves lead the Western Conference standings. They are tied for the league’s second best winning percentage, having won 10 of their 13 games.
McDaniels has appeared in 11 games this season. He scores 10 points and pulls down three rebounds every game.

The Timberwolves have won all six of their home games this season, tying a franchise record.
In addition, the club has won nine of their past ten games. During that time, they won seven straight games, the franchise’s longest win streak since 2004.
The Timberwolves play the Philadelphia 76ers at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
