Nuggets get key Zeke Nnaji injury update ahead of Magic clash

The Denver Nuggets are optimistic about having reserve big man Zeke Nnaji in their lineup for the upcoming game against the Orlando Magic, according to Vinny Benedetto of The Denver Gazette. Despite dealing with a recent ankle issue, Nnaji, who has been a valuable contributor for the Nuggets this season, is expected to play. This marks the first instance of injury concern for Nnaji, who has participated in all 14 games for the Nuggets in the ongoing season.

Before the season commenced, Nnaji signed a four-year contract extension worth $32 million. While struggling to secure consistent minutes in previous seasons, Nnaji has found an increased role this year, particularly as a backup center. Currently averaging 10.9 minutes per game, he has posted stats of 3.7 points and 2.4 rebounds per game, shooting 52.8 percent from the field, 42.9 percent from beyond the arc, and 64.7 percent from the free-throw line. Known for his versatility and ability to space the floor with reliable outside shooting, Nnaji has become an integral part of the Nuggets’ rotation.
