**Late Injury Update: Raptors’ Precious Achiuwa Ruled Out with Right Knee Soreness**
In an unexpected turn of events, the Toronto Raptors will be missing Precious Achiuwa in their lineup for Wednesday night’s faceoff against the Indiana Pacers. Achiuwa, dealing with right knee soreness, has been ruled out, marking his first appearance on the injury report with this specific ailment.
Achiuwa has encountered a series of injuries throughout the season, starting with a groin strain that sidelined him for most of the preseason. This injury resurfaced early in the regular season, leading to a five-game absence earlier this month.
With Achiuwa out of the lineup, Toronto is likely to distribute his minutes to Chris Boucher and Otto Porter Jr. coming off the bench. The second unit for the Raptors is expected to feature Gary Trent Jr. and Malachi Flynn in the absence of Achiuwa.
Despite Achiuwa’s absence, Toronto faces further setbacks with Thad Young and Christian Koloko remaining unavailable. The team will have a day off on Thursday before returning home for an in-season tournament game against the Chicago Bulls on Friday.
