Paul Merson now Predicts the score line between Newcastle vs Chelsea clash

Chelsea are undoubtedly progressing under Mauricio Pochettino’s direction, and the players are getting a better understanding of how the Argentine wants them to play.

There is no doubt that Pochettinoi is an excellent manager, and Eddie Howe will be put to the test to see if he can outwit the former Argentine International central defense (20 caps). Paul Merson has never been overly optimistic about Newcastle during Mike Ashley’s tenure, but that may be changing now that we are contending for the top six and are a very well-run club.

But Paul is undecided about the outcome, which he predicts will be a 1-1 tie.

In his Sportskeeda column, Merson describes the game as follows:

Chelsea are undeniably improving under Mauricio Pochettino’s leadership, and the players are gaining a greater understanding of how the Argentine wants them to play.

Pochettino is a brilliant manager, and Eddie Howe will be tested to see whether he can outwit the former Argentine International central defense (20 caps). During Mike Ashley’s time, Paul Merson was never overly optimistic about Newcastle, but that may be changing now that we are competing for the top six and are a very well-run club.

Paul, on the other hand, is ambivalent about the outcome, which he expects will be a 1-1 tie.

Merson describes the game in his Sportskeeda column as follows:

Chelsea are coming off a fantastic 4-4 draw against Manchester City at home last time out, which was all-out attacking from both teams – a fantastic game to witness for a neutral.

That might be the case in Saturday’s encounter at St. James’ Park, with both teams attacking from the start.

And Chelsea has won 7 of their last 3 league games, putting them on a roll.

And we’re hoping for a strong showing from Newcastle on Saturday.

That follows our poorest performance of the season, a 2-0 loss at Bournemouth: that didn’t look like an Eddie Howe Newcastle side on the day.
