After falling behind by as many as 26 points against the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday, the Milwaukee Bucks needed an all-time effort from Giannis Antetokounmpo on Sunday. Milwaukee appeared to be heading for another humiliating loss at the Fiserv Forum against a faltering Blazers team.
Giannis, on the other hand, had different ideas.
Giannis spoke on his team’s stunning come-from-behind triumph after registering a game-high 33 points on 11-of-21 shooting from the field, 16 rebounds, six assists, a steal, and three blocks in 39 minutes of play. The former back-to-back MVP came to Twitter to express his delight in Milwaukee’s huge victory:
I鈥檓 extremely proud of the group tonight. No matter if we face adversity we can come back and win the game. That鈥檚 a good habit we are building now 馃挭馃従馃挭馃従 pic.twitter.com/Qutr9doMqM

“I’m very proud of the team tonight.” We can overcome adversity and win the game no matter what. “That’s a good habit we’re forming right now,” Giannis said in a tweet.
On Sunday, Giannis and company shown their tenacity once more. They could have easily given up on this game and put it up to another bad night, especially because they have a big game against the Miami Heat on Tuesday night.
But that’s just not in Milwaukee’s DNA. This team has no quit in them, as evidenced by their performance on Sunday.
