Jalen Hurts now sends stunning message after clash against buffalo bills

The Eagles were 10 points behind at halftime on Sunday, which meant they had the Bills just where they wanted them.

Jalen Hurts tossed three touchdown passes in the second half and ran for his second in overtime to lead the Eagles to a 37-34 victory at home. It was the fourth week in a row that the Eagles won a game they trailed at halftime, which is both an NFL record and cause to believe in Hurts’ MVP case as the season winds down.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts Earns His Master's Degree

Hurts stated after the game that it has “definitely been a unique journey” and that he is more worried with the team’s ability to find a way to win games than with what kind of accolades he would receive for being the team’s captain.

“That’s not for me to worry about or play with. “I just try to go out there and play to the standard and be the best I can for my team,” Hurts said, according to a team transcript. “There were times today when I felt like I didn’t do that, but when it counted the most, I felt like we did a good job of doing what needed to be done.”

We played team football and communicated well, and it all contributed to the outcome. We were truly on the same page when it counted the most, and that’s all you can ask for. Anything else that I’m named or that folks want to roll with is up to them.”

A 10-1 start replete with dramatic moments like Sunday night’s game-winning touchdown run and go-ahead touchdown pass to Olamide Zaccheaus on fourth down in the fourth quarter is just the beginning of what will lead to honors at the end of the year. If the Eagles continue to deliver in critical occasions, the Lombardi Trophy might be among them.
