Shaq Lawson shoves Eagles fan during heated exchange

During Philadelphia’s 37-34 overtime victory over Buffalo on Sunday, tensions escalated between Bills defensive players and an Eagles fan at Lincoln Financial Field.

A video circulating on social media captured defensive end Shaq Lawson apparently pushing the fan in the midst of a heated exchange. The incident followed defensive tackle Jordan Phillips and several other Bills players – Lawson, defensive tackle Ed Oliver, and defensive end Greg Rousseau – engaging in verbal exchanges with Eagles fans while positioned near the front row of stands behind their bench.

The specifics of the conversation remain unclear, but the focus has been on Lawson’s contact with the fan, who was identified wearing a black puffy jacket and a green hat amid the exchange.

Teammates swiftly intervened to pull Lawson away from the fan, eliciting boos from some Philadelphia fans in attendance.

Someone can be heard saying, “F-k you,” while flicking the middle finger to Bills players.

Security officers in neon jackets were seen nearby standing between the players and the supporters to keep the situation from escalating.

It’s unclear whether stadium security confronted or penalized any supporters.

If the NFL launches an investigation, Lawson, a former first-round choice, may face a fine.

As of Monday morning, the league had yet to respond to the situation.

The NFL has created rules governing fan and player behavior. Players can mingle with spectators in certain scenarios, such as touchdown celebrations, but this is not one of them.
