Dak Prescott reveals main reason for career-best performance

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott attributes his exceptional on-field performance to what he humorously calls “dad strength.” The revelation came after his girlfriend, Sarah Jane Ramos, announced her pregnancy with their first child, a girl, via an Instagram post. Prescott, who is expecting the baby in March, expressed excitement about the upcoming challenges of fatherhood and shared that they have a chosen name for their daughter.

Prescott, who turned 30 in July, has been in top form on the football field recently, throwing for 1,847 yards with 18 touchdown passes and just two interceptions in his past six games. This remarkable performance places him in the midst of one of the most prolific touchdown-passing stretches in Cowboys’ history, second only to Tony Romo’s 2007 record.

The quarterback opened up about the significance of this moment, emphasizing the joy and blessings that come with expecting a child. He also highlighted the challenges of balancing football and fatherhood, especially given his family’s history. Prescott’s mother, Peggy, passed away from colon cancer a decade ago, becoming a major inspiration for him. He founded The Faith Fight Finish foundation in her memory, aiming to assist individuals, families, and communities facing adversities.

Prescott expressed gratitude for the support of Sarah Jane and credited her for allowing him to focus on both football and impending fatherhood. He acknowledged the timing of these blessings, emphasizing the growth and maturity that come with age. As he anticipates the birth of his daughter, Prescott recognizes the unique challenges that come with being a Prescott and expressed eagerness for the journey ahead.
