The couple emphasized their commitment to co-parenting their three children — Santiago (5), Dante (3), and Ruby (1) — making them a shared priority. Despite the divorce, Erik, 53, continues his 16th season as the Heat’s head coach, boasting a legacy of six NBA finals appearances and two championships in 2012 and 2013. He holds the record as the franchise’s winningest coach in both regular season and playoffs.
Nikki, 36, a former Miami Heat dancer and host of a popular podcast, shared the sentiment of mutual respect and commitment to their family’s privacy. The couple married in the summer of 2016. As they embark on the next stage of their lives separately, they acknowledge the support received and express appreciation for the understanding of their decision.
