Atlanta Braves announces yet another departure as Braves Man leaves

Brian Snitker and the Braves coaching staff face another departure as bullpen coach Drew French is set to leave for a promotion with the Baltimore Orioles. According to Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports, French will step into the role of pitching coach for the Orioles, succeeding Chris Holt, who retains his position as the director of pitching.

The coaching carousel is a common aspect of the baseball landscape, especially for successful teams. This offseason has seen notable changes for the Braves coaching staff, with Ron Washington securing a managerial position with the Los Angeles Angels after seven years as the Braves’ third base coach. Additionally, first base coach Eric Young Sr. has also departed.

With French’s departure, the Braves now have multiple coaching positions to fill. However, the prevailing sentiment is one of confidence and optimism. The Braves, currently considered one of the best organizations in baseball, attract coaching talent eager to be part of a successful and dynamic team. The departure of coaches is viewed as a testament to the Braves’ ability to nurture and develop coaching talent, providing individuals with opportunities to advance in their careers.

Despite the ongoing changes, there is a belief that coaches will be eager to join Brian Snitker’s staff. The Braves’ success and reputation in the baseball community make them an appealing destination for coaches looking to further their careers. The departure of coaches like Drew French is seen as a natural part of the coaching landscape, with the Braves continuing to serve as a desirable platform for aspiring coaching talent.
