Huge boost for the Titans as key player returns to practice ahead of Indianapolis Colts clash

The Tennessee Titans returned to practice on Wednesday as they began their weekly preparation for their game against the Indianapolis Colts, and practice always brings an injury report. Surprisingly, the first injury report of Week 13 contains some good news.

Treylon Burks, the wide receiver, returned to practice as a limited participant. This is Burks’ first action since suffering a concussion against the Pittsburgh Steelers on November 2. Burks suffered his second concussion in as many years with the Titans.

That explains Burks’ prolonged absence.

Concussions should never be taken lightly, especially considering Burks’ experience of enduring two alarming ones within his initial year and a half, raising valid concerns. Being exceedingly cautious seems like the appropriate approach.

Hence, expecting Burks to participate this week might not be prudent. While his return to practice indicates progress, it doesn’t guarantee his readiness to resume playing. Nonetheless, his comeback would significantly benefit the struggling offense.

Other players like right guard Daniel Brunskill, linebacker Luke Gifford, and quarterback Will Levis had limited participation, with Levis visibly affected by his ankle injury during Wednesday’s practice, necessitating close monitoring of his status. Meanwhile, safety Terrell Edmunds, having fully participated after missing the previous week’s game, will rejoin a crowded safety rotation involving Elijah Molden and K’Von Wallace if he’s fit to play on Sunday.
