Breaking News:Cleveland Browns handed another major injury blow with experienced star now added to injury list

Denzel Ward, Myles Garrett, Dorian Thompson-Robinson among Browns idle for the 2nd straight day at UCLA

The Cleveland Browns faced another day of setbacks as key players Myles Garrett and Denzel Ward were unable to participate in practice on Thursday, intensifying concerns about their availability for the upcoming Week 13 clash against the formidable Los Angeles Rams. Both Garrett, an influential pass rusher, and Ward, a standout defensive back, are grappling with shoulder injuries, adding to the toll of injuries that has plagued the Browns throughout the season, primarily on the offensive front.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski is undoubtedly eager to see the defensive stalwarts back in action, recognizing their pivotal roles in the team’s success. Garrett, renowned as one of the league’s dominant defensive players, has significantly impacted games with his disruptive presence, boasting impressive statistics for the season, including 13.0 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, 4 forced fumbles, and 32 tackles. Ward, a key contributor in the secondary, has amassed 29 tackles, 10 passes defensed, and 2 interceptions.

The Browns face a formidable challenge against the Rams, particularly with quarterback Matthew Stafford displaying a stellar performance in Week 12, orchestrating a victory with four touchdowns against the Arizona Cardinals. With the offense grappling with the absence of Deshaun Watson, recovering from a fractured shoulder, and rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson sidelined due to a concussion, the quarterback position remains uncertain. Veteran Joe Flacco has assumed practice responsibilities in the wake of Thompson-Robinson’s injury, potentially sharing the starting role with P.J. Walker.

While wide receiver Amari Cooper, recovering from a rib injury suffered in Week 12, participated in practice, the team’s success hinges significantly on the defensive prowess of Garrett and Ward. Their potential return to the lineup remains a crucial factor in the Browns’ bid to contain Stafford and the high-flying Rams offense. In a season marked by challenges, the Browns are banking on the resilience and impact of key defensive assets as they navigate a pivotal matchup in Week 13.
